NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR- March 2
Hey Y'all!
Here it is at last, opening weekend!! This week is, as Gandalf would say, "It's the deep breath before the plunge." Lots of big things happening. I'll most likely contact you several times throughout the couple weeks so please make sure you tune in to everything that's being sent.

SCHEDULE:
-
The early checkout table is now gone! Per the contract, NO CAST/CREW MEMBER IS PERMITTED TO MISS ANY PORTION OF ANY REHEARSAL OR PERFORMANCE THROUGH THE END OF THE RUN. Don't even try it.

REHEARSAL ENDING TIMES: Remember the later end times.

Monday and Tuesday: 2:45-7:00PM

Wednesday and Thursday: 2:45-8:00PM

THURSDAY NIGHT: The cast will be sent home with their makeup and base costume layer supplies. Starting Friday morning, they must arrive to each performance wearing their base layer and with their hair and makeup already applied.

CALL TIMES:
-
Unless otherwise instructed, leads must always show up 90 minutes early with the rest of the cast arriving 60 minutes early.

FRIDAY 3/6: All cast must arrive at 8:00AM

SATURDAY 3/7: Leads by 11:00AM and Ensemble at 11:30AM. This is picture day-hence the earlier call time. Please be sure to feed your children before they arrive.

HYGIENE/FATIGUE:
-
Now comes the time when the cast members usually start to fall behind on their schoolwork. You as their parent/guardian MUST help them stay on top of their assignments. Please check in with them DAILY. If they say they're doing fine...they're not. Make sure they're consuming their vitamins and liquids and getting to bed at responsible hours.

Since costumes have been handed out, it is crucial that all children keep themselves clean. Make sure they're showering daily and washing their hair frequently! If costumes are damaged due to your child's body odor, you will be responsible for replacing said items. If you do NOT have access to shower facilities or hygiene products, no shade no shame. Just please let us know ASAP and we'll provide them for you!

TICKETS: We already have a waiting list for almost every performance so please follow the recommendations below if you have extra tickets!

If you have extra tickets, you have a couple of options...
-
You can try to sell them yourself as Hillside cannot administer refunds for any reason.
-
You can donate them back to the school and the Box Office Manager (Ms. Caldwell) will make sure they get in the hands of someone who will use them.

If you were not able to get tickets for a specific performance (or any performance at all), contact Ms. Caldwell and she will put you on a waiting list and inform you of when tickets become available.

VOLUNTEER: Many of the pro-team members are asking for help now. Please sign up to help where/when you can!
COSTUMES HELP NEEDED!
Hi Parents!
Beginning the week of March 2 until the play ends on March 14, costumes will need quite a bit of help, and we have some spots left for volunteers!
The play rehearsals and performances are so fun to be part of, I hope you'll sign up for a time or two. It's helpful if you are able to attend at least one rehearsal before you come help with a performance. And if you’d like to come on a night that is already full, text me at (801) 870-3929 and I’ll add you to my list!

FOOD/MEALS
As part of the dress rehearsals the week of 3/2, we provide meals for hungry cast members and staff during a break. We are looking for help donating sides, and to serve and clean up each night. It's low stress and so fun to help with meals! Please sign up here:
We provide a main, with fruit or veggies, dessert and water each night. We are not able to accommodate dietary restrictions for a group this big. Below is the menu for the week so you can plan accordingly. Last year we had a few lactose intolerant kids who couldn't resist the pizza and lasagna and then threw up, so please talk through the week with your child. ;)
3/2 5 pm: Chick-fil-A Sandwiches
3/3 5 pm: Lasagna, Salad and Garlic Bread
3/4 5:30 pm: Deli Sandwiches
3/5 5:30 pm: Little Caesars

Thank you everyone who has donated candy and chips to our cause already! The pile is looking delicious!! IF you have not donated your concessions item yet there is still time but we do appreciate earlier than later so we have an idea of what we are working with!! The popcorn donation is still available for the next 5 people who ask.
